As per the reports of Protocol, the multinational technology company, Google, is discussing with television providers (both ad-supported and free) to add them to its smart-TV platform. The look and feel will be the same as that of conventional television having commercial breaks.

Some reports of Gizmo China suggest that channels with free streaming will launch on Google TV in the upcoming weeks or months. But it will be confirmed by the company with its smart-TV partners at the starting of next year.

It will provide the users with a live TV menu to browse through the channels for efficient usage.

The streaming channels are present along with the over-the-air programming retrieved by an antenna.

Google had started free TV streaming in 2014 when it revealed the Android TV platform.

It derives from the Android operating system, and devices like Chromecast are powered as smart TV by it.
