The Redmi has revealed Redmi G 2021 gaming laptops. They have 16.1″ 144Hz displays, Intel and AMD processors, Nvidia RTX graphics.
It is an exciting announcement for the gamers and if you want to buy a gaming laptop shortly.
Xiaomi unveiled two new gaming laptops on 22nd September. The first one has an Intel processor, and another one has an AMD processor. Both have Nvidia RTX graphics.
They have a 16.1-inch display with a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz. They also have a 72 Hz mode when the GPU can not quite cut it for some games. The Hurricane Cooling 3.0 system is improved, which has two 12V fans and five all-copper heat pipes to avoid GPU issues by allowing the CPU and GPU to fire on all cylinders.
They have a memory configuration of 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage. Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, DTS:X Ultra 3D audio, and backlit keyboard (with three brightness levels) are common to both of them.
The Intel version has a Core i5-11260H (Tiger Lake), a Hexa-core processor having a maximum turbo frequency of 4.4 GHz coupled with GeForce RTX 3050 GPU.
Redmi G 2021: Intel version • AMD version
The AMD version has Ryzen 5800H and eight Zen 3 cores having the same clock speed up to 4.4 GHz. But, this gets a stronger GeForce RTX 3060 GPU, with a TDP of up to 130W.
The AMD version comes with a 230W charger to feed the extra TDP apart from the Intel version, which has a 180W charger. The 3060 has 3,840 CUDA cores and a 192-bit bus, while the 3050 has 2,048 CUDA cores and a 128-bit memory bus when we compare both of them.
Both the laptops are launching first in China. The Redmi G 2021 has an Intel Core i5, came today with a price of CNY 5,700($880). The AMD Ryzen 5800H laptop coming on 28th September will cost CNY 7,000 ($1,080).
